Get your staff involved in Book Week Scotland

Book Week Scotland provides a series of opportunities for companies in Scotland to encourage their whole staff team to consider the benefits of reading for themselves and for their families.

A flagship event during Book Week Scotland is The Reading Hour. At 11am on Friday 30 November, we want everyone to pick up a book and participate in a single collective celebration of reading. Please consider allowing your staff to take part either as a special initiative or as part of their morning break.

The Scottish Book Trust also is producing a book to give out free so that everyone can take part in the Reading Hour called My Favourite Place – an anthology of writing by authors and the Scottish public about their favourite places in Scotland.

To talk about how to get your colleagues involved and receive free copies of My Favourite Place, please call Claire Stewart on 0131 524 0170 or email claire.stewart@scottishbooktrust.com.
Deadline for request for resources is 9 November 2012.
