Trustee

Argyll & Bute

Voluntary

Applications close on Mon 1 Dec 2025 at 5:00pm

Description

We’re looking for Trustees to help strengthen the governance and leadership needed as we roll out our five-year recovery strategy. We really want to hear from people who are enthusiastic, have a philanthropic mindset and a willingness to involve themselves in aspects of charitable work that they may or may not currently know much about.

Previous experience in a similar role could be useful but is not necessary, however certain skills are required such as the ability to exercise good judgement, to research and ask probing questions, to understand management reports and accounts, and to contribute to strategic decision-making.

If you are resident in the Cowal Peninsula and believe you could fulfil this role, the Trust would like to hear from you. We can offer training and mentoring to people who have not had previous board level experience.

How to apply

Applications are being sought from people who understand charity law in Scotland, accountancy, human resources and good governance. Please email your CV, completed application form (available from our website) and covering letter of no more than 500 words to Gillian Donaldson at gillian@dunoonburghhall.org.uk. Interview dates to be confirmed.
