Applications close on Sat 31 Jan 2026 at 12:00am

Description

The Tim Stead Trust (TST) completed the purchase of the Category ‘A’ Listed Steading, former family home of Sculptor, Furniture Maker, Environmentalist, Poet and collaborator and supporter of other crafts people and artists, Tim Stead MBE, in 2021. We are at an exciting time in our development and are seeking 2 new Trustees due to retirements.

Previous Board experience is not essential.

We are seeking people who will be active participants, bring new perspectives and ideas and can work with our existing Board to preserve, promote and champion the work and beliefs of Tim Stead.

No matter who you are or what your background, you could be the right person but neither of us will know if you don’t get in touch.

See https://timsteadtrust.org for background information.

How to apply

Please send a letter (no longer than 2 sides of A4) outlining why you are interested and what you believe that you would add to the Trust, together with a copy of your CV (max 3 sides of A4) to david@timsteadtrust.org.

We have 4 Board meetings per year and you will be expected to join at least one of our working groups (Finance & Fundraising; Governance; Public Engagement; Steading & Archive; Museum Accreditation) thus the anticipated time commitment is about 3 days per month. Attendance is a mixture of in person and online. Attendance at workshops, tours and other public events is welcome but not a requirement.
