Craft Scotland is the national development agency for contemporary craft. We deliver an annual programme of support for makers and for the whole craft sector. We create opportunities for audiences to learn about, appreciate and buy craft and promote the sector’s contribution to Scotland’s cultural, economic and social wellbeing.

We are looking for people who are passionate about contemporary craft in Scotland to join Craft Scotland’s Board to support the development of an inspiring and creative sector.

The Craft Scotland Board is responsible for organisational oversight to ensure robust and compliant operations and financial management and has a duty of care to the team. With the Director and senior team, Board members regularly review the programme, review risk, explore the wider landscape and contribute to developing new strategy. We are keen to welcome people who can bring fresh perspectives and a range of skills to help us deliver our ambitions. The Board meet quarterly and travel expenses are paid.

Craft Scotland was established in 2004. We are a Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funded Organisation, with funding in place to March 2028.
