Senior Communications Officer

The Traverse Theatre is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Communications Officer to be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of communications activity and to support the Communications team.

Typical duties include:

  • Day-to-day implementation of press & marketing campaigns
  • Maintaining clear delivery timelines
  • Research, write and issue press & digital content
  • Act as primary contact for press enquiries
  • Planning, producing and publishing social media content
  • Lead on press and social media monitoring
  • Work with the wider team to improve and maintain customer service, signage and audience experience
  • Work closely with the Campaigns & Communications Manager to translate campaign plans into high-quality content
  • Work collaboratively with freelancers and external specialists to agree approaches and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Act as liaison for Traverse Theatre Company Co-Producers and Partner Companies on marketing activities.

This is a permanent, full-time post. Normal hours of work will be 40 per week, which may include evenings and weekends. Additional hours will be required over the busy Festival period.

Rate of pay will be £30,000 – £32,000 per annum dependent on experience. Annual leave entitlement is 32 days per annum, including public holidays. A contributory pension scheme is available, with matched contributions at 4%.
