The Fundraising Launchpad is a new programme of consultancy delivered in partnership with Samtoy & Company.
We recognise that fundraising is often an acute challenge for small organisations in particular, where there is sometimes no dedicated fundraising resource, and limited capacity or budget for investment.
This has been designed to support organisations in the culture sector to develop their fundraising in a structured and affordable way.

“The excellent discussion we had last Monday and your extensive summary and
Fundraising Launchpad ‘Spark’ participant
recommendations are very much appreciated.”
A 45-minute meeting to discuss your fundraising, with some initial feedback and ideas to consider.
A 90-minute discovery call, followed by provision of an initial Assessment Report, and then a review meeting.
A 90-minute discovery call, a half-day team workshop, a fundraising Assessment Report, a recommended Fundraising Plan, two subsequent 60-minute calls, and a presentation to your Board.
The most common starting point for a project is a wider discussion around fundraising to understand previous fundraising initiatives, identify the need for fundraising, map out the organisation’s fundraising potential and create a plan of action.
Over the course of a 45-minute meeting, we will discuss your fundraising, providing some initial feedback and ideas to consider.

Discovery Call: this is an opportunity for both parties to find out more. We send a list of key questions in advance, so you know the kind of information we’re interested in understanding. We answer your questions about fundraising, which might include specific income streams, the current climate, resourcing, ROI and timescales. We also ask for you to share documents that will help us understand your organisation, such as accounts, annual reports, business plans, statistics, your mission, vision, values documents, and any fundraising plans.
Assessment Report: This is a short report that provides a summary of the key insights from our discovery call along with an initial assessment of your fundraising potential and some recommendations for pursuing further fundraising, including a few key considerations for different income streams.
Review Meeting: this is an opportunity for us to discuss the report, for you to share feedback, and for us to explain anything in more detail. If there are edits required for the report, they are completed after this meeting.

Team Workshop: this half day in-person workshop for up to 8 participants is a great opportunity to bring key management and Board members together, to brainstorm fundraising opportunities, test values alignment, understand risk, and start bringing key members of your team on board with a new fundraising approach.
Assessment Report: after the workshop, we develop a report that outlines the fundraising potential of your organisation, including an analysis of the potential of each income stream, an indication of potential income, resource and capacity options, and risk factors.
Fundraising Plan: following the completion of the Assessment Report, and guided by your feedback and organisational priorities, we create a recommended Fundraising Plan that provides a detailed roadmap for you to take fundraising forward. This might involve repositioning your fundraising, testing new types of fundraising, redirecting current resources to maximise ROI or recruitment, or investment in other resources or activities.
Board Presentation: Board-level engagement with fundraising is a high priority for many organisations. We can attend a Board meeting to present the Assessment Report and/or recommended Fundraising Plan, including a Q&A to support the Board’s decision-making around fundraising.
