We are looking to appoint a part-time Company Manager, to work 2.5 days per week to ensure the good governance, administration and the smooth operation of the company.
Governance /
– Work closely with the Director on governance
– Act as Company secretary, managing board correspondence, coordinating board meetings and preparing minutes
– Policy Review: manage the company’s schedule of reviews and update when required for board approval
– Procedures: review and update internal procedures as appropriate
– Develop and review policy-related action plans
– Compliance: liaise with colleagues on required documentation
– Co-ordinate recruitment of new board members and their induction
– Maintain knowledge of best practice and regulatory environment
Reporting /
– To manage information capture and reporting on various policy areas, including:
– Fair Work
– Environmental:
1. Act as ‘Green Champion’, monitoring emissions and environmental impact
2. To prepare environmental reporting for Culture for Climate Scotland / Creative Scotland 2
3. To research, manage and advocate for energy efficient systems and procedures
– Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion :
1. EDI reporting,
2. Preparation of TCG’s own Annual Diversity Report
– Co-ordination of reporting to Creative Scotland and other funders as required
– Providing required documentation to funders
– To liaise with the Finance Manager on submissions to external bodies including Companies House and OSCR, annually and as required
Staffing /
– Review and update contracts
– Prepare and issue contracts to new and temporary staff
– Prepare and manage staff holiday records
– Manage personnel records securely, noting leave, TOIL and absence through illness
– Manage recruitment processes
– Prepare EDI reports on recruitment processes
– Liaise with Finance Manage on relevant aspects
