How to apply

The 2025-26 Culture & Business Scotland Fund budget has now been fully invested in cultural sponsorships. We have been working with the Scottish Government regarding the 2026-27 Fund budget – final confirmation is likely to be announced after the Scottish Parliament Election on 7 May 2026.

You are still welcome to submit an Expression of Interest in the meantime, and we will get back to you if we have any questions. We will provide an update on applications to the 2026-27 Culture & Business Scotland Fund in due course.

Not-for-profit organisations can apply to the C&BS Fund for up to £1 for every £2 of business sponsorship. The minimum investment request is £1,000, so the minimum business sponsorship must be £2,000. Organisations can apply up to two times, provided the total C&BS Fund investment does not exceed £10,000.

Our investments are made to enable the not-for-profit organisation to give the business sponsor additional sponsorship rights or benefits, helping to enhance the impact and reach of the sponsorship.

There are two stages to applying. We aim to respond to your Expression of Interest within 10 working days. If invited to apply, we aim to respond to your Application within four weeks of submission.

Complete a short form so we can carry out a quick eligibility check. We can also provide with an ‘In Principle’ invitation to apply if you are in discussion with a potential sponsor and have not yet signed an agreement.

For sponsorships which have received a C&BS Fund investment before, we are looking for a new element of collaboration to the relationship.

For in-kind sponsorships, we are looking for a collaborative element to the relationship that is additional to the provision of in-kind goods or services.
