Originally established in 1986*, today Culture & Business Scotland (C&BS) is a charitable organisation supporting the nation’s cultural and economic wellbeing by connecting culture and business sectors.
We do this by representing, celebrating and championing the value and impact of cultural experiences on all of our lives; by building relationships to enable, inspire and support exciting and mutually beneficial cross-sector relationships; and by developing knowledge, skills and expertise to meet both individual and organisational development needs.

*A potted history: In 1986, we were the Association of Business Sponsorship of the Arts (ABSA). In 1999, we became Arts & Business and, in 2011, Arts & Business Scotland. In 2023, to reflect our growing remit with heritage as well as arts organisations, we became Culture & Business Scotland.
