The Chair of the Board at Manipulate Arts will provide leadership to the Board of Trustees and work in close collaboration with the Artistic Director & CEO to steer the organisation’s activities, ensuring its long-term success. The Chair will play a pivotal public-facing role at the charity, acting as an advocate and maintaining relationships with stakeholders on our behalf, as well as a critical internal role in leading the board as they provide effective oversight and scrutiny of our activities, and acting as a collaborator and sounding board for the Artistic Director & CEO.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced individual to contribute to the arts in Edinburgh and beyond, while helping to shape the future of Manipulate Arts in a dynamic cultural environment. Candidates for the role of Chair may come from a wide range of backgrounds including in the public, private or third sectors and do not necessarily have to come with previous professional experience in the arts, however they should have some passion for the arts and understanding of the unique challenges faced by the cultural sector.
