Winners of the Arts & Business Scotland Awards announced tomorrow

The wait is almost over to find out which cultural partnerships will be celebrating with an Arts & Business Scotland Award at the annual ceremony tomorrow evening (Wednesday 3 February). The event recognises outstanding partnerships between the creative and business sectors.

Chief Executive of Arts & Business Scotland, David Watt said: “The calibre of nominations for this year’s awards was extremely high and it gives us huge pleasure to be revealing which partnerships impressed the judging panel most with their innovative and creative collaborations.

“It’s fantastically encouraging to see such commitment from across so many sectors of the business community supporting cultural activity and cultural engagement throughout the whole of Scotland and we’re looking forward to a fantastic evening celebrating these achievements.”

The winners of the five partnership award categories – Placemaking, People, Digital Innovation, Entrepreneurship and International – will be announced along with the winners of two further awards for leadership and the Museum Galleries Scotland Enterprising Museum Award. The awards party will this year take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and includes an exclusive performance by the Edinburgh Mela Bollywood Dancers.

Winners will receive a specially commissioned awards object created by glass artists Vicky Higginson and Alan Horsley, both Artists in Residence at Edinburgh College of Art’s School of Design.
