Nominations have opened for the enterprising museum category of the Arts & Business Scotland Awards 2015. Sponsored by Museums Galleries Scotland, the award is searching for museums which have shown particular innovation and entrepreneurship.

Chief executive of A&BS David Watt said: “This is the fourth year we have included the enterprising museum category in our awards programme and each year we have been overwhelmed by the fantastic projects which are being undertaken by museums all over Scotland.

“We’re excited to begin the search for this year’s most innovative museum project and are grateful to be supported once again by Museum Galleries Scotland.”

To be eligible for the award museums need to demonstrate an innovative or entrepreneurial project that has delivered a high-impact museum experience during 2014/15. Entrants can also show how they attracted and worked with partners or sponsors on a project.

Abbott House in Dunfermline claimed the award last year for The Abbott Brew House. All museums in Scotland are eligible providing the projects took place throughout 2014 or 2015 and must be complete or near completion by the application deadline of Thursday 1 October 2015.

The winner will be announced at our awards ceremony on 3rd February 2016 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
