Arts & Business Scotland (A&BS) has published a regional breakdown of the consultation report it compiled following a series of roadshows last year. A major consultation process was undertaken to assess the needs of the cultural sector and re-evaluate how A&BS can best support these needs.
The A&BS team embarked on a process which involved speaking to a wide range of stakeholders as well as current and potential partners to identify opportunities and challenges faced. The process is now in the second phase which involves delivering regional development forums across the country specifically tailored to meet the needs of the region as identified through the consultation process.
A&BS Chief Executive David Watt said: “In order to meet our goal of supporting a thriving creative and cultural sector we recognise this has to be a two-way process. Last year we went out to each of the regions and engaged in a thorough and rewarding consultation project. We are now into the delivery phase and look forward to meeting the needs of our members and stakeholders through our regional development forums.”
