Arts & Business Scotland has appointed Bill McDonald, Managing Director of Accenture Scotland, to its board of directors.
Bill McDonald has worked with Accenture Scotland since 1998, becoming Managing Director in 2010. Prior to that he worked for Scottish Hydro Electric. Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, and Accenture Scotland has been a major sponsor of Scottish Opera since 2007.

Bill McDonald is a Senior Executive in Accenture’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Finance Solutions Business. He has a portfolio responsibility for BPO in Communications, Media & Technology and personally runs a number of large BPO contracts. Bill is also Managing Director of Accenture, Scotland.
Bill’s expertise is in defining and leading complex BPO engagements in a number of sectors: Oil & Gas (Exploration and Production); Utilities; and Communications & High Tech. He has 11 years’ experience working with major clients delivering Off-shored and transformational solutions.
Bill has led a wide variety of engagements around the world, including BP; BT; EMI and United Technologies Corporation. He spent several years in Russia leading a major Finance Transformation project for TNK: BP
Prior to joining Accenture, Bill spent 15 years as a senior Financial Controller in the Energy Industry. His experience included running large finance functions, creating and running shared services; IPO management and mergers and acquisitions.
