We are absolutely delighted that Katriona Holmes, our Project manager, has been awarded the 2013 Creative Scotland Clore Fellowship. This follows another member of staff – Jeanie Scott who received the Creative Scotland fellowship in 2012. That two of our staff have been awarded the Creative Scotland fellowships in consecutive years is remarkable and underlines the strength of our team.

Martin Joyce
Lives in London. Creative Director and Founder of Icon Dance Ltd, which produces bespoke classical and contemporary dance for the commercial sector. Previously dancer and choreographer with Rambert Dance Company and dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet.
Kerry Kolbe
Lives in Cumbria. Co-founder and Co-Director of Signal Film and Media, an award-winning participatory film and digital media organisation based in Cumbria. Kerry is a trained journalist and a freelance producer for film and television. Winner of Institute of Directors/Daily Mail ‘Enterprising Young Brit’ Award 2010. Non-executive roles include Board Member for Culture Cumbria, Cumbria Cultural Skills Partnership and Creative Studios Cumbria, heading up a £2m creative industries centre development in one of the most deprived areas of the UK.
Dominique Oliver
Lives in Slough. Founder and Managing Director of Resource Productions Ltd, a social enterprise media company which works predominantly with young people and the community. Dominique also lectures in Video Production at the University of West London. Until recently she was Chair of the Board of Trustees of Slough Museum.
Justine Themen
Lives in Coventry. Associate Director at Belgrade Theatre with responsibility for Community & Education. Previously a freelance Theatre Practitioner, Writer, Director and Consultant for a range of organisations internationally and Culture Officer at the Ministry of Education & Community Development, Suriname.
Roma Backhouse
Lives in London. Founder and Director of the Bloomsbury Festival. Roma also runs Hidden Cities, a cultural producing company and is a director of Seasider, a national campaign to change perceptions of the British seaside amongst young urban audiences. Previously a freelance project manager and consultant for a diverse range of organisations, including Allied London Ltd and the Young Vic; she has also worked with Steven Berkoff and the Anna Scher Theatre.
Jamie Beddard
Lives in London. A freelance artist, whose work encompasses directing, writing, training and performance. Jamie is currently a Senior Associate with Diverse City, a social enterprise working in the performing arts and also Associate Artist of the Graeae Theatre Company. Previous roles have included Diversity Officer, Arts Council England and editor of ‘Disability Arts London’ magazine. He has worked for a range of organisations in various capacities including the Independent Theatre Council, London Metropolitan University and Transport for London.

Lives in London. Participation Producer (Festival of the World) Southbank Centre and Founder of Pirate Technics, a company of artists and engineers. Alex creates large scale public art and spectacle for festivals and urban environments including pieces such as the giant straw ‘Urban Fox’ as seen crouching on top of the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre. Previously Managing Director of the Hub Islington, an incubator for social entrepreneurs.

Rachel Sears

Niyati Mehta
Lives in Mumbai. Programme Officer, Media, Art and Culture at the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the Allied Trusts, Mumbai. Niyati’s role involves identifying and leading projects for cultural development and building innovative collaboration across India’s art and cultural sector. Her previous body of work includes research, writing and designing for book projects, documentaries and e-learning.

Lana Nasser
Lives in Amman. Artistic and Executive Director of Aat Network, Lana is an award winning playwright and international performing artist. She is the co-founder of the Aat Network aimed at raising awareness of women’s and gender issues through creative self expression and holds an annual theatre festival celebrating international women’s day. With a research background in Psychology, Consciousness, and Dreams, she also writes articles and designs workshops.

Lives in Hong Kong. Managing Director of the City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC), Hong Kong. In addition to producing professional Chinese contemporary dance, CCDC also runs a dance centre and umbrella organisation which supports local creative talent. Clementine has a background in arts management and marketing. She is also an exhibiting painter.
