Sponsorship Matters | Managing Ethics and Risk

A training session to support fundraisers with concerns about ethics, due diligence and risk management around sponsorship.

This course has been designed in response to the surging concern of many fundraisers about the risks of accepting corporate support that may create PR backlash and end up causing more harm than good for the charity partner.

Sponsorship expert Alice Samtoy gives you a great foundation for making informed decisions around working with potential new and existing corporate partners.

What will you learn?

Over this three-hour session, you’ll explore:

  • creating a policy and framework for decisions in your organisation
  • carrying out appropriate due diligence
  • guidelines for working with a potential partner to set up risk management
  • strategies including creating a crisis comms and staff support plan
Who is it for?

Fundraisers seeking to gain deeper knowledge and skills on ethics, due diligence and risk management around sponsorship.

It was a thorough introduction to ethical fundraising, presented in a very accessible way. I feel much more confident of the best process for our organisation, and of the areas we need to consider when developing and implementing our policy.
