Sponsorship Matters | Introduction to Sponsorship

Are you considering corporate fundraising for the first time but not sure where to start? This introductory course, led by Alice Samtoy, covers the fundamentals of sponsorship.

Designed to be a first step into corporate fundraising, this live classroom online course offers an overview of essential sponsorship knowledge along with practical skills to help you develop successful sponsorships.

The session aims to enable you to assess your organisation for corporate fundraising opportunities, understand the risks and opportunities, and learn how to prepare compelling proposals and a prospect pipeline.

What will you learn?

Over this three-hour online session, you’ll explore:

  • what is sponsorship and why do companies sponsor
  • the pros and cons of corporate fundraising
  • different types of sponsor benefits
  • understanding what you can offer
  • the process for securing a sponsor, including timescales
  • sponsorship budgets and pricing
  • identifying and approaching prospects
  • developing a proposal that is sponsor-centric
  • account management – how to deliver and renew sponsorships
Who is it for?

This course is ideal for fundraisers wishing to expand their development into corporate fundraising and needing some fundamental skills and knowledge. Suitable for fundraisers, volunteers and Board members.

I highly recommend Alice's course. There is lots of depth and knowledge, that has been learnt through her years of successful experience, that is difficult to find elsewhere.
