Delivering Powerful Presentations

Join this daylong in-person course to learn the skills and gain the confidence you need to be a powerful presenter.

As we return to the office, great presenters and great presentations are the new competitive advantage. In this course you will hone your presentation skills to embrace the ‘best bits’ we have learned from using Zoom and Teams, but crucially we will focus on why the presenter is the presentation and they alone are responsible for getting the audience to do something as a result of what, and how they present.

This course has an average 90+% approval rating from all delegates who have attended one of the training sessions – so far over 500 delegates.

What will you learn?

Over this in-person session, you’ll explore:

  • When and why to use a presentation
  • What makes a great presentation
  • Setting expectations
  • Optimising the value zone
  • The importance of intelligent questioning and active listening
  • Simplify your message
  • How to use presentation slideware – keeping your audience engaged
  • Thoughts, tips, and ideas to maximise the impact your presentation
  • The 9-slide challenge
Who is it for?

This course is relevant for all those who are actively involved in any level of internal or external customer facing (and influencing) activities, to review, reflect and refresh their approach to presentations and presenting; and most importantly how to avoid returning to old presenting bad habits, especially when using PowerPoint as it is meant to be used – it is just a presentation aid.

David’s tips and expertise on how to construct accessible, engaging, and persuasive PowerPoint presentations has been a game changer in terms of how I construct and deliver information in the workplace, and I’ve already taken the learnings into a new task delivering training guides.

From a confidence point of view, the tips and tricks David taught me have really shown themselves useful as I moved into a new role where I need to make cases for content briefs and pitch ideas on a daily basis, which was something I struggled to do without anxiety before the training. Being able to go into a new role with those skills has made being the new member of a team a lot less daunting.
