Commenting on the Creative Scotland Multi-Year funding announcement on 30 January 2025, Chair of Culture & Business Scotland, Jane Morrison-Ross said:

‘We welcome Creative Scotland’s offer of Development Support and Funding in recognition of the strategic importance of our role as a bridge between business and culture.

We recognise the difficult decisions that must be made to support a diverse range of culture organisations across Scotland,  and we continue to believe that the very support C&BS provides – helping the sector to identify new funding streams, fostering an entrepreneurial approach, and building greater resilience – is exactly what the culture sector needs at this time, especially when public funding continues to face such challenges.

At a time when public sector budgets are under significant strain, our role at Culture & Business Scotland has never been more critical. We would welcome discussions with Creative Scotland and the Scottish Government on how we might work together to provide long-term solutions for cultural investment and growth.’
