Located at the heart of the city centre, the Traverse holds an iconic place in Edinburgh’s cultural landscape. From our distinctive subterranean bar to the main Traverse 1 and the intimate, flexible studio Traverse 2, our spaces can be configured for parties, gigs, conferences, product launches, lectures and board meetings – there’s really no limit.
Our friendly and experienced team of managers, technical experts and front-of-house staff can help you plan your event in advance, as well as ensuring everything goes to plan on the day. And, of course, we’re easy to reach by bus, train or tram, with several bus services stopping right outside the door.
Our bar can accommodate 150, Traverse 2 can accommodate up to 100 and Traverse 1 can accommodate 214.
