Page to Stage

Perth Theatre and Concert Hall

Business needs served:

  • Improving staff health and wellbeing
  • Supporting teambuilding and improving dynamics in the workplace
  • Supporting innovation, creative thinking and problem solving in the workplace

Looking for a team-building day with a difference? Our Page to Stage programme is perfect!

At Perth Theatre and Concert Hall, we embrace and encourage creative expression and champion the transformative power of the performing arts across every aspect of our work. This helps us to support business teams to take a creative break from the workplace through inspiring skills development opportunities.

Through Page to Stage, our experienced artistic, learning and engagement practitioners will deliver fun, energetic and participatory sessions for you. Working with professional theatre and music makers, your team will become a theatre company or a band for the day, writing and rehearsing their own short play(s) or song(s), and performing them on one of our stages by the end of their session.

In addition to coming together as a united team with a shared goal, your staff will have the opportunity to learn and adopt new confidence-building skills through performance and stage craft, enhancing their self-esteem and encouraging social interaction. They’ll also take away valuable practical aids including effective voice and communication techniques, different presentation styles and a closer understanding of body language, which can then be applied confidently within the workplace.

During the day, your team will fully immerse themselves and ‘tread the boards’ in two of Scotland’s most significant venues, walking in the footsteps of great talents such as Alan Cumming, Ewan MacGregor, Lewis Capaldi and Nicola Bennedetti. Given exclusive behind-the-scenes access, participants will explore the hidden, historical treasures of Perth Theatre and experience the technological wonders of Perth Concert Hall, which boasts one of the best acoustics in Europe.

The staff and levels of organisation from your end were exemplary. It makes life so much easier when the machine is so well oiled!

Delivered by... Perth Theatre and Concert Hall

Central to local cultural life for over 120 years, Perth Theatre and Concert Hall create life affirming, shared experiences in the performing arts that ignite the imagination and make living more meaningful.

Our world-class venues, award-winning programming and inclusive learning and engagement projects play an essential role in stimulating positive wellbeing within the communities we serve, benefitting the local economy and raising the profile of the area.

One of Scotland’s oldest theatres, founded in 1900, Perth Theatre reopened in 2017 following extensive restoration. On top of our successful programme of own-produced and touring theatre, we support the country’s theatre ecology by providing talent development opportunities for artists, as well as research, rehearsal and performance space for non-building-based companies. Devised as part of the city’s millennium celebrations, and opening in 2005, Perth Concert Hall is a modern, elegant space, housing a similarly diverse programme. We have established ourselves as a go-to venue for major music and comedy tours, as a second home for Scotland’s national orchestras, and as a firm favourite on the conference circuit.

Uniquely located within 90-minutes’drivetime of 90% of Scotland’s population, we see ourselves as a lynchpin inthe country’sarts infrastructure and are proud to be recognised as a sector leader, influencer and innovator.
